Assur City FC was founded in 2021 by Jack Youna, alongside his sons, Lucas and Nico Youna, and a close group of friends. At its heart was a shared love of soccer and a simple belief: the game brings people together, builds lasting friendships, and creates a sense of belonging that reaches far beyond the pitch.

What began as an amateur Sunday league team has grown season after season, making history as the first Assyrian club in the United States to compete at the semi-professional level in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL). Along the way, our family has grown too, bringing together players, coaches, staff, supporters, and everyone who proudly stands behind Assur City FC.

Our roots remain at the heart of our mission: to create affordable opportunities through soccer, help young people grow, and bring our community together. United by this purpose, we continue to carve our own path and build a club that proudly represents the Assyrian people and the values we carry with us: family, love, unity, generosity, and resilience. Every person who joins our journey becomes part of that story. Backed by our community and driven by our love of the game, we move forward as one Assur City family.
